Today, 19th January, an academic act in memory of Bishop Javier Echevarría, immediate past Prelate of Opus Dei and Grand Chancellor of the University of Navarra from 1994 and 2016 (Grand Chancellor, too, of many other universities across the globe) was held at the University of Navarra Museum auditorium.
The present Prelate Msgr. Fernando Ocáriz, current Grand Chancellor of the University, participated. Along with him were: the Rector Prof. Alfonso Sánchez-Tabernero; the Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Dra. Arantza Campo, and the immediate past executive director of IESE, Prof. Jordi Canals. Before the discourse delivered by the Prelate, several speakers spoke about those years and periods in the history of the University during which Bishop Javiercontributed greatly to the university institution. …
